I've never had any barred chickens. I have 9 barred rock roosters in the brooder right now and boy they are cool looking. Too bad they couldn't be pullets.

UPDATE: 4 Blue Rocks pipped , 2 Barred Rocks Pipped and another Phoenix pipped!!!!!

Yay!!! How are the Blue barred rocks from Halo looking? I've got 14 in the bator right now, with 9 confirmed bouncy baby embryos. I'm so excited to see how they turn out!!! Hatch day is the 7th (maybe the 5th or 6th if they hatch early like yours!).

Oops, I see the BBR are just pipped. Let me know how they look when they finally pip out. Mr. B is so beautiful I'm just hoping for something with half his color!

I hvae 3 Blue Rocks out, even the one that pipped the small end, YAY!!! 3 of my 4 Phoenix are out and so far 3 of the Barreds are pipped, one of those also pipped low

Anyway todayis just Day 20 and so far they are doing great.

Weird, I've never had a Rock pip low. The Blue Orps were doing it for awhile, but that quit when I spent tons of $$$ buying game bird breeder crumbles for them.
