day 20 on my courturnix eggs **update**

i still have no pips. nothing is happening, should i throw them away or wait a little longer?out of 36 eggs none have done anything. im so sad, i have been waiting for these babies.

You'd get a lot more response on this post if it was in the quail section. This is mainly chicken people in here and they may not know that Day 20 is late for your quail..

I would wait til Day 22 before you give up... did you have any temp spikes ?

That seems pretty late for coturnix but maybe the temp is off on your incubator.

Also were the eggs shipped?

Mine don't usually hatch until day 19 or 20 so definitely let them go a while yet.

Any pips yet? It seems like lately everyone's quail are either hatching really early or really late.. hang in there!

That's really late if it's cortunix eggs - should've hatched day16-18. That's what I've read anyway.

Fingers crossed that some will hatch for you.
