Hi all,
I am new to hatching chicks and I have two left of my 6 shipped USA Silkie eggs. Candled on day 17 before lockdown and both were moving well. One has a saddled air sac but hasn’t seemed to cause problems so far.
I’m now on day 20 and can’t hear any cheeps or rocking of eggs. I managed to candle them through the clear plastic (using my husbands super bright projector light) and the saddled chick doesn’t look like he is moving any more. I’m really worried he has died. There seems like there’s some space in the egg (as I can see veins) so I thought I’d see some movement at least. Thought and experiences please?
I did a dry hatch so the humidity had been 30 Celsius throughout and is now at 60.
TIA
