Chicks don't perk up right out of the egg, they need to learn to walk on those legs, dry out their feathers to a fluff since they are still wet and they don't need to eat really for 48 hours or so. Plus they sleep alot just like any newborn animal. They are still living off the yolk sac. That is why a hatchery is able to ship off day olds they don't need feed and water right off the bat.
Tell Me What???? There's some blood. Cant tell if its from his/her foot or butt? Should I take him out of the bator and check??? Can there toes get stuck on the wire floor????
