Day 21-22 Incubation of 36 welsummers UPDATE

I will certainly do that. I just foubd abother with a liquid air cell and when I cracked it, the liquid was blood? The chick never piped internally. I have 4 more that are in the same situation but the liquid was clear/tan. I definitely need to run lower humidity next time. Stupid user manuals.
It's possibly a slipped hock...but I have no experience with that. I hope you'll report on your next hatch too and wish you better luck!

I forgot to mention the good news. Two more hatched last night. So now I have 8 chickies. A few more eggs look okay so I will leave them in the bator.

I hate the user manuals. Blood in the air cell makes no sense if there was no internal pip. That is very odd.

That's great. Congrats.

I cannot find information on this anywhere. Maybe a vessel in the membrane ruptured and it seaped into the air cell?
