Day 21 and no pips

Since what looked to be the start of the external pip on my Maran egg it hasn’t progressed at all. The piece of shell are still just cracked/pushed up, but not actually open. How long do I wait before I should maybe at least use a tweezer to take those 2 small pieces off? Just nervous for that chick since it’s the cracked one I tried to seal. I don’t want it to fry out.
How long has it been since it externally pipped?

It often WON'T progress (at least, what you can see) for several hours, even up to 24 hours. It was hard work to get that crack in the shell, and now that the chick can breathe, it's resting and absorbing yolk. Don't pick the shell off!!! I've done that, and it only contributes to the risk of shrink-wrapping. Count 24 hours from the time it externally pipped, and then if there's no progress, you might start to assist the hatch. If that's needed, let us know but DON'T do anything in the meantime. Keep the humidity UP, it's what is most important at this stage.

It has only been I think 10-12 hours since it externally pipped. I just was concerned since the piece never fell but the cracks are very noticeable. The other chick is considerably further along so I wasn’t sure.

Help! My daughter was trying to look in the incubator and tripped and bumped it. All of the eggs were fine except, of course, my blue egg that was the further along got turned so now the pip is down on the tray. Will it still be okay? Or now do I have to open the cover to turn it back over so it can get out? I didn’t wanna do something wrong so thought it best to ask here.

Blue egg and Maran egg are about the same as this afternoon in progress, this tan egg just pipped around 8:30 tonight ever so slightly and is rocking and chirping up a storm!

Quick question:
How can you tell a distress/panic chirp? Is it a high pitched constant chirp?? All day it’s been chirps here and there, but just in the last minute or 2 one has started chirping pretty constantly and it’s much louder than previously.
