Day 21 and nothing at all?(update Day 23 still nothing)

Yea it has been suggested to try it but so far along in the whole deal you think it would be ok to still try it? I keep lookin in there and still no pips on all the angles I can see but they are laying on their sides atm. 0 movement still from any of them since the time I put them in.

So the water test has been preformed on 4 out of 18 eggs and no luck to report unfortunately. I'm wondering if I shouldn't try dipping them all?

Well I woke up this morning to still find nuttin doin... Guess I'm scrappin the project and trying again sometime down the line... sigh...

Well then most definitely check all those eggs first...before you scrap 'em.

I am in the same boat...after a botched first attempt at incubation, I have only 1 egg in lockdown that was viable at day 18. We had a temp spike to 102 during the night one night, other than that, things have been stable. Today is day 22 - no signs of pipping or rocking or anything

I have a bunch more I've been collecting from my girls that are waiting for the bator...maybe better luck with this batch. I haven't given up hope yet - maybe water test? I'm going crazy! - I feel your pain! Did you test all your eggs?

Definitely test all the eggs and if you can (and want to) open them if you are scrapping it. I have learned so much from doing this and who knows, maybe eventually I'll save that chick I thought was a goner! The water test has been really accurate for me. Even if the egg wasn't moving in the water at first if the chick was alive it started chirping.

were these shipped eggs? Another possibility could be that your thermometer was not working right and temps were alittle low. is your bator forced or still air?

I've tested them all this morning and got no movement from any of them. It's been suggested to me keep them until day 28 so I'll do so, but they are just my eggs from the backyard so it's not a big deal if they end up not workin out this time. As it is my one non dud welsummer started laying the day we started incubating this batch so now I'll get a chance to fire a few of them up. My broody is taking a few hostage atm. As for opening them up and examining them, I am already going to have to open up and examine my agressive rooster real soon so I'll baby steps it for the time being lol. That one I feel I am not quite ready for. I did think about it but for the time being I still really like eating their eggs. xD
