day 21 and nothing

If you had problems with temps getting a bit low at night, this can cause the chicks to grow a little slower.. Definitely give it til day 25-26... Walk away from the bator!! Do not touch it! Do not breath on it! Do not look into it and definitely do not open it!!!!! Walk away!!!

Ok... Just don't open it!!

LOL

Thanks guys i am just leaving the bator not hovered over it for the last few hours

temp and humidity realy good so far not realy been budging even at night for the past few days since i moved bator into a more steady room wish i had just done this from the beginning but its all a learning game i gues temp sitting at a constant 99.4 may go to 100 but not for long and the humidity is between 69 and 70 % finally got on top of it

hi... havent heard really anything from you.. did you chickie hatch out?? i sure hope so!!

No unfortunitly it never hatched
sad.png
i left it till day 28 to be sure but no nothing ,i have got some polish chicken eggs setting waiting to go into bator so im hopeing for a better hatch this time ,i have been out and brought another thermometor and hygro and just calaberated it with a medical thermometor and my glass one and its only off by 0.17 and itw way different reading to the one i was using before so im thinking the temps and humidity was well out thats what caused the problem

i have also alowed the eggs to settle for 24 hours this time instead of rushing in and not getting things as accurate as possible ,

i will have a little more success this time im going to try the dry incubating i think .Eggs go in tomorrow morning that will have been just over 24 hrs .Im getting as much info as i can lol i will not give in

ive never heard of dry incubation whats that about??

u could try what i did when i had a bad hatch. dont add water till day 18. at day 18 get ur humidity up to 70% and just wait. i have had way better hatch rated doin this. lots of people do it differnt ways. but i like doing it this way cuz u dont have to worry about drowning them or anything. i just keep my temp at a stedy 100 degrees

Apparently you have your humidity around 35-40% upto lockdown then raise it above 60% for last few days everyone on here seems to swear by it so im gonna give it a go
