Today is the long awaited 21st Day!(in an incubator) eight have hatched and over 12 have peeped

but..

the chicks that have hatched are running and harshly bumping all the eggs trying to hatch. It is getting hard to listen to the commotion that is taking place! I'm worried that the chicks are going to harm the eggs trying to brake through. They are being turned and bumped and all kinds of stuff I don't like..

So is this okay? Is there are way to keep the chicks calm or move the eggs to the other side of the bator ( I know your not supposed to open, but I will if it helps ease this horrible sight!)

I definitely don't want to loose chicks because of this

I don't believe they will hurt your eggs, mine never have. Also I don't believe it will hurt your eggs if you open the bator really quick and grab the dry chicks out, I have done this with no bad conciquences. Just be quick & make sure they are dry and fluffy. Many will/may be on here to argue with what I just said, but I am just telling you from my own experiences. Good luck with the rest of your hatch.

Getting bumped and knocked around a little, and hearing the others peep, actually stimulates the other chicks and encourages them to hatch. Eggs are not completely still under a hen, either. Mom scootches around, the first chicks to hatch wriggle around under mom, they get bumped, and it helps them hatch.

Okay!

I will be able to sleep well tonight. Thank you

a few more have hatched since my original post, and it does seem that the all move together at once. even the chicks in the eggs become more active when the hatched chicks are active

ill post pics in the morning
