Day 21 Columbian Cochins... 2 Hatched, and 3rd pipped Pics Added!!

Are your Columbian cochins standard or bantam? They are soooo cute. I am looking for standard columbian cochin hatching eggs. Anyone have any ideas who to contact?

The ones I got from MSBEAR are bantams, for standards contact Terry, SCBirdFarm, I am not sure he has Columbian, but he has a lot of different color cochins.

Thanks, Lockhart. I figured as much. Im wondering if these eggs can be fertile but some aren't hatchable for some reason.

Im so glad to hear the little guy is doing well. That would've been a real bummer to lose him after everything.

I got a trio of silver laced cochin bantam 2 week olds from a lady near my home who was giving away babies. Im excited to get this color. They are beauties. I have them outdoors during the day then bring them in at night. She had them outiside the whole time though. Maybe Im just babying them....

Yayyyyy!!! I got a mottled trio coming in November. Im really pumped about them. Im going to try and get milles with them.. You cross columbian with mottled and cross those babies with buff (I might use red) to get more of a mohogany color. You can do it too now.

Thats good to know, I had no idea. I just figured out horse & dog genetics after 30 years of breeding, the chickens are baffling to me.
