day 21 no chicks!! help!!!

the incubator has a fan so its forced air. anyways first baby to hatch took 12 hrs never stood and didnt get fully dried she just died and now the family is morning her loss

i decided i hate this its to painful to lose a baby and to get so excited that she hatched see her all day and now she died. why! what is the temp of the brooder suppose to be and how long do you keep her in the incubator like are they suppose to stay until they dry? then that takes hrs w.out food or water! someone please help me figure this out!!

That is so sad- very sorry. They can stay in the incubator a good day or two. I had a terrible hatch last year that was due to very high humidity early on. My fingers are crossed for your babies. If it is extremely humid in there, and you ran high humidity early on, they can drown when hatching. On the other hand if it gets too dry, they can get stuck in their shells. Was she very goopy/ bloody? Where were you measuring temp at? Good Luck!! There are really knowledgable people on here- Im NOT one of them- but they are super helpful!! I am trying again in April!!

my temp was 99.5 the whole time what should to humidty be at for the first 18days? whats to high and whats to low?
