hi all I'm new here on the chicken scene. i started my first clutch of 24 redchicken eggs on june 1st @ midnight. I candled @ 7 &14th days and removed about 50 % that were not fertile or development had stopped. I have been turning 3x daily manually and stopped on 18th day Here I am on day 21 no pips or sounds I'm starting to get nervous lol. well i couldn't take the suspense any more so i gently chipped off the airsac on one of the larger eggs i can see movement but no effort was made by the chick to penetrate the membrane are they too weak to pip maybe?is it possible to be a few days late maybe a temp issue?
i run a still air incubator @ 101F. Is there anything else i can do at this stage? Any suggestions will be appreciated as this is my first hatch.

thanx , eggturner

Unfortunately, no, there's nothing you can do but wait now.

Just resist the urge to open the incubator. Sometimes chicks take a long time to hatch. If you don't see anything in the next couple of days, then I'd check them. Otherwise, just be patient

Good luck!

BE PATIENT! You might go to bed tonight and wake up to some pips, zips, or maybe even some chicks in the morning. They will hatch when they are ready. Just sit on your hands and DO NOT open that bator. It will only slow things down. When you've reached day 24 and still have no chicks (which probably won't happen), then you can worry! For now, BE PATIENT!
