day 21 silkie chicks incubator, chirp but no pip

i have read about dry hatches where instead of keeping the humidity around45 for the first 18 days i kept it between 15-30 it was at about 20-25. then day 18 up to 60-70. i read it increases hatch rate ??

Correct terminology is dry incubation and yes that is usually not adding water or keeping humidity around 30% for time of incubation. That is why it is called dry incubation because you are dry or very low humidity during incubation period. Then comes hatching period or lockdown and water is added, or humidity raised for hatching. Wouldn't want to confuse less experienced into thinking you would want to Dry hatch/lockdown.
