Day 22 -no pip/no wiggle -left all alone

Would it be okay to not turn the eggs in the incubator for the first few days?
I recommend turning the eggs because it helps in preventing the yolk or air sac from sticking to one side. If you forget for a day, that should be okay. Towards the end is when you have to stop hand turning , due to the chick positioning and mainly for the humidity levels to stay balanced. I stopped at day 18 and went into lock down.

Also, I have a borotto lumia 16 egg incubator but have a few extra eggs, do you think it would be okay to turn off the automatic turner and stack a couple on top of the other eggs until first candling and then can take out the ones that are not fertile?

That is a little tricky. How many extra eggs will you have left? What kind of eggs are they? Were they shipped eggs?

You can totally turn off the auto turner, it just means you'll have to turn them at least 3 times a day. As far as staking, it is not something I've ever done. I can't personally say it will turn out great or not. I would be cautious on bacteria growth if they are in close contact (over lapping) and the possibility they may turn out all fertile.

I'll have four extra eggs, all are shipped eggs. Silkie chicken eggs. Just wasn't sure if it would be a good idea or not, can't find much information on it

If it’s four eggs, than I would give it a try. Did you rest the shipped eggs ? It’s good to rest them for 24hrs before adding them to the incubator. Silkies are the cutest!

They haven't arrived yet but yes I will let them rest before incubating them 😊 thanks
