Day 22. Nothing happening!

I am so very sad! 18 naked neck eggs in the bator. Everything was perfect until lockdown when I moved them to another bator without the egg turner. I had some initial problems with humidity after lockdown and opened it three separate times over the first two days to add steaming water. Temp has been good humidity at 56 %. No movement, no pips

I'm sorry.
What I did to add water was used a straw and put the straw through the air holes on my LG still-air incubator so I didn't have to open it during lockdown. But I made sure the air holes were above the water pans.

I hope you get hatches.

Maybe they are just a little late?

Give them another day. I thought I lost most of my last hatch because of a temp and humidity malfunction on lockdown a couple of weeks ago. On day 22 I got my first pip and 24 hours later I had 9 little chicks. Although I had 36 eggs in the bator at least it wasn't a total loss.

day 23. Still nothing. One egg may have changed position but everything else the same. What do I do?

Give it another day or two. You don't have anything to lose and you may get chicks after all. Good luck.

are the naked necks predisposed to hatch late? i find that with silkies. my marans hatch right on time.

i had this happen in my last hatch. brought 3 eggs to the sink to break and check before tossing and heard peeps from two of them. I cracked them open and two more chicks! lol!

I hope you get some babies, fingers crossed for you. I know what it's like to have nothing hatch, the waiting is terrible.

My temps have been a tad low, so I am planning on having mine go late.
I hope
I've been scared to fiddle with the thermostat too much because I find that I overcompensate and then they overheat.

So sorry... but I would hang in there another day or so.

...also... maybe next time use a little plastic tubing and a syringe (available at most feed stores) to add water. you can just leave the tubing in place if you make a small hole and if you are afraid of warm air escaping, etc.... just plug the sm tube after putting water in.

... so you don't have to open it and let heat and humidity out. I have found I get less chicks stuck in shells if I keep my humidity 65-70% especially after the 1st pip.
