Nothing new to report this morning...looks exactly the same as last night. Unfortunately I had to leave and go to work but when my DD gets her lazy butt out of bed, I'll have her check.

Lol yea chickens take so long to hatch it's madness..lol

My first hatch it took my each of my 2 eggs 24hours from pip to hatch..

my second hatch it took 3 hours for my 3 eggs from pip to hatch..lol it all vairys

I need chickie-cam while I'm here at work. It's driving me nuts!!

Every single one of my eggs hatched 12 hours after pipping

I hope you have a chickie when you get home! Congrats!

Make sure you tell your daughter to add water to the trough if the humidity is low! ALthough once the hatching is going on you won't have to! It jumps way up then. Good luck!

Mine are tormenting me by pipping and then taking hours to zip and hatch too.

I guess I should have figured that out about the humidity going up. It was consistent at 67-68%. Then I looked at it had jumped up to 71%. I took a red cap out for a few minutes until it went back down, and about an hour after that I saw the pip! Now I know.

If I see it spike up again, should I try to get it down or just let it go?

Day 20 and time for an update! I couldn't take the suspense any longer so I called my DD and woke her butt up out of bed. She went down to look and since it was her first time seeing it (she didn't get home last night til I was already in bed) I had her describe it to me and the good news is there's a new crack/zip/pip on the top!

So glad to know the chick is alive and well. The humidity was down to 66% so I had her add some more water.

Go chickie go!!!!

Just got home and it still didn't hatch, but it pipped a hole at the big end and is trying to work its way out. Wonder how much longer it will take? At least it waited for me! Still nothing on the others but that's ok.
