OK, my son inherited his grandma's chicken/egg business when she died in March. I knew nothing about eggs but read up on all the hatching procedures. My son is 8, so we are learning together. Here's what we did:
Incubator with automatic turner set on exactly 100 degrees. Eggs in with larger side up. Put in water per directions. 47 eggs in the incubator. Some were older, some were fresh. on day 18 took them out of the turner, added more water per instructions and put them back. Kept them warm during transfer and watched the temp like a hawk.
Not one of the eggs has started to hatch. I thought they were to hatch on day 21?
I need help from all you experts because my son is gonna be crushed.
THANKS!
