Hey everyone we are at Day 22 of 6 eggs in the incubator. I candled them about 6-7 days in and saw development in all but one (because I couldn’t see through the dark, hard shell). Well here we are at day 22 and there is no pipping or anything going on. Temp and humidity are where they should be (per all my chicken mentors). I am just not sure where to go from here. Have 2 more eggs waiting to go in since we thought the chicks would hatch anyway now. Any advice would be appreciated!! Thank you!

Is your thermometer calibrated? I would do a quick candle and look for internal pips.

We use an external thermometer from the incubator. So it is safe to move them and candle them this far in?

So candled one out of the 6 and we definitely have movement and a chick! Didn’t look like any internal pipping yet through but the air sack was still intact and big. Thank you for your help!

You're welcome! Fingers crossed you have a great hatch!

After candling the rest it looks as if we will be having at least 4 chicks sometime soon. They had movement and pulsing! Just not sure how many more days they will take, since we are at 22. I’m worried because rotation stopped on day 19.

Day 19? It should have stopped on day 18. Don't count your chicks before they hatch, lol

My mistake it was technically day 18. I took it out the tray late at night on the 23rd almost the 24th (2nd shift worker). Day 21 was yesterday April 26th. I was advised at 19 days but I read on here prior 18 so that is when I pulled the tray. And you are completely correct, can’t count my chickens before they hatch 😂

Ok thanks for clarifying, lol. I count them sometimes too, 😂 I hope you have a great hatch! Just give them time, something was definitely messed up if they're this late. Don't mess with them too much. Fingers crossed!
