day 23 and 3 chick eggs have a crack in them

We have one little guy crawling all over the other eggs. No more have hatched yet. But 2 others have some cracks in them.
Is it normal for him to have a little bit of brownish /red goock stuck to his butt?

If he is walking around and seems healthy then I would say he is dragging around a part of his umbilical and it should fall off. Congrats on the hatchling!

Hope the rest pop out soon!

Thanks
How long can they stay in the incubator? We have an Octagon 20 with 19 eggs. 3 other eggs have pipped. But not all of them
I do not have another heat source besides the top of the incubator to put in the brooder. What do you suggest?

They say chicks are fine in the incubator for 24 to 48 hours. I say leave it be until more hatch! It will be ok.

But you should get a brooder ready. A box or rubbermaid container with a clip light will be ok. You shouldn't need a big heat lamp if you use a smaller container. I use a rubbermaid tote with a clip lamp with a 75 watt bulb and it heats it to 95 degrees just fine.

We have a brooder all ready except the top of our incubator we are suppsoed use for the brooder to give them heat. I guess I could go get some type fo lamp.. and use that until they are all ready your idea?

I just read the rest if your email and will look for one tonight
we have a cardboard box about 1 1/2 feet by 2 feet
The one chick is pecking the other little chick while he tries to come out.. have you seen this happen?

like it said above, they will peck everything that is in sight. Just be patient. I sometimes thinks it's best to have them hatch on a day when im at work lol. so that way i can't watch them cuz i get all worried. Good luck with your babies:)
