Day 24! I cracked the egg - it's alive! What do I do?

Just like the title says, it is day 24 for this little americauna chicken egg. 4 didn't hatch. I drilled holes in the large part of the eggs and determined 3 were dead, but this other one is alive? Do I just put it back in the bator and hope? Should I try to break it out of the egg? Help!

I'd put a little wax over the crack and return the egg to the incubator. Good luck.

I might skip the wax at this stage. The hole is just in the shell above the aircell, and the chick is probably fully developed by this point if it has any chance of hatching. I'd put it back in and get your temps and humidity back up.

Hole is too large for wax, I will hope and pray

Update:

Removed the shell from the ckick and broke open the membrane thingy. Bled a little, got the chick out (still alive) to realize its brains are on the outside, head is completely open. Poor chickie. RIP

oh my gosh...im so sorry thats horrible...

...did you have to put it down or did it die on its own when you got it out of the shell?

I was contemplating how to put it out of its misery and it ended up dying on its own. I am going to hang on to the thought that there were no working pain receptors......
