Day 29 incubation: gosling seems to be struggling to break inner membrane, please help!

@Pyxis
are you meaning he has internal pipped but hasn't broken through the shell?

Have you read this? https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/goose-incubation-hatching-guide-completed.491013/

He actually made a crack in the shell, but did not break the outer membrane somehow (unusual?), and still has not managed to break the outer membrane even though he seems to be trying pretty hard

That's the guide I used to incubate him but I didn't realise towards the end there's information on assisting (had been reading Sally Sunshine's guide over and over), thank you! I didn't know that you could candle to look for a void area. I am trying to not open the incubator as the whole shrink wrapping thing is pretty scary, but do you think at this stage it's necessary to, or leave him be? Thank you I really appreciate the help!

So, I wouldn't read that assisted hatch article. I find it confusing and hard to read, and last week found a place where it tells to 'help' a chick hatch way too early when I was trying to help another member. The info in the goose guide is good stuff, but that assisted hatch article is a bit of a mess.

I wrote one that's geared towards all poultry and not just chickens, and you might find it more helpful:
