are you meaning he has internal pipped but hasn't broken through the shell?

He actually made a crack in the shell, but did not break the outer membrane somehow (unusual?), and still has not managed to break the outer membrane even though he seems to be trying pretty hard
That's the guide I used to incubate him but I didn't realise towards the end there's information on assisting (had been reading Sally Sunshine's guide over and over), thank you! I didn't know that you could candle to look for a void area. I am trying to not open the incubator as the whole shrink wrapping thing is pretty scary, but do you think at this stage it's necessary to, or leave him be? Thank you I really appreciate the help!
