These eggs are under mum. Yesterday, one gosling hatched. She is doing great. I candled the other 4 eggs this morning and one was an obvious dud, but not sure about the other three. None have pipped (internally that I can tell) and I can't see any movement/hear peeping. Two air cells are much smaller than I thought they should be, but the other is quite large. You can't tell in these pics cause my light isn't great, but I can see veins and what looks like a bill shadow(when I turn the egg). These are sebastopol eggs if it makes any difference. Since the other baby has already hatched and the air cells are so small, I'm assuming these babies are no longer with us? Esther has sort of pushed two out to the sides. They were fairly cool. Temps have been in the 30s. Mum and Dad are both in the nest oogling over the one baby, but she's still sitting on a couple. I know I'm being silly. Nature will do what nature will do. I guess I was just hoping to have a few more to hatch. Should I give up hope or could I still be suprized?
