It's day 4 for the red star/rhode island red mix chicken eggs!

They have been in the incubator since the day they were laid, and they seem to be in good condition. It's still unknown if they are fertile yet, but I am guessing they are, since the rooster always mates with the two hens that laid the eggs. There are two eggs in the bator right now. Temp is 97-101 degrees F.
I even thought of names!

Egg #1: Anna(female) OR Andrew(male)

Egg#2: Peggy(female) OR Pedro(male)

Good names? I think so! LOL
Wish me luck when I candle them in about 3 or 4 days to see if fertile!

p.s. The homemade incubator is doing great!

anyone have any advise for this:
I don't have a humidifier in the bator, but i can tell hum. is high, since I put the water bowl in and there is evaporation on the sides of the bator. Is this ok?
