Thought I had a blood ring today, day 7. Candled and I saw a very loose very dark spot for the embryo that floated around whichever way I turned, plus a dark ring around the edge of the yolk. Cracked it open and while there was no blood/decay, there were also no veins attached to the embryo.

The 1-2 little veins that were there were floating around, and had floated to the top of the egg. If they weren't attached to the little embryo, then I made the right call, right? Living embryo would have had veins attached--and probably more veins at that point?

It was hard to get a good picture on my phone but the spots+ ring were much darker in person--they looked like they were pressed right up against the shell.

This doesn't look good to me.

Thank you for the responses. ☺️ I figured I was probably okay when I saw no little heartbeat or anything either, but as I'm still learning I wanted to be sure!
