Hi! This is my 2nd (first chick last year passed day of birth) baby chicken EVER well hatched from my flock.

The dad is a Plymouth Barred Rock and the mom is either a Plymouth barred rock or a buff orphington.

What breed do you think this is? Or is it too early to tell?
Also what gender? Or too early to tell?

I know sex links have dots and markings but I don't know anything about that.
Thank you!

Too early to tell anything except that at least one parent was barred, in this case, dad. Once it starts feathering out, it will likely have orange feathering in spots if the buff orpington is the mother. In 6-8 weeks, gender should be discernable

The Plymouth Rock is the one at the top of the picture looking at the yellow chick
Cute chicks! Yes my barred rocks looked like this chick and my photo but since it could be mixed wasn't sure if it'd take on more a barred rock look while a chick since the dad is barred and the mom could be buff orphington and the barred seems to be more dominant... From what I've seen from other posts/googling.
