Sorry I haven't been online today - BABY CHICK IS DOING GREAT!!

We took off her "forrest gump" leg braces today and her ankles and toes are NORMAL!!

She spent three days in the "pipe cleaner leg braces" and it worked miracles - her toes are now flat and normal (except one which still has a bit of curl to it) and her ankles now bend in the right direction - baby is a bit wobbly and has to learn to use her muscles properly but tonight she was much stronger than this morning - it's nothing short of a miracle!

In our rush we forgot to take pics so I'm sorry about that, the leg braces were really easy to make and it's pretty ingenious.

So relieved you wouldn't believe!

I might have to try this. We brought a duckling home from TSC that has curly toe (they told me to just take it). But its not the toe, its ankle bone is bent and makes the foot curl under when it walks. Poor thing.
It can get around pretty fast! But the foot/ankle looks pitiful.

How did you get the splint to work without like breaking the bone to set it so it would go the right way?? I tried the bandaid shoes but to foot/toes arent the problem.
