Ok I knew AI is unlikely it’s just an always lingering fear. I have given them grow gel, they didn’t send them with quick chick so sugar water, but they won’t really eat or drink a lot? I’ve never been this confused with a batch of chicks.

I will try to treat the rest as if it’s shipping stress and just try to keep on top of fluids and food. I just really wanted to make sure it wasn’t something that needed antibiotics or treatment. When you first took them out of the box, did you put each chick's beak to the water source? Did you offer the electrolyte solution from the very start? Then show them the food and get the under the heat source? Shipping stress can kill quickly if not addressed immediately.

Its not likely if the bulbs are from tractor supply. They would be meant for poultry so that wouldn't be the problem. Have you checked the temperature in the brooder?
