Day old chicks wanted (Found) updated!

I'm thinking a small, light blue/green egg (silkie= small, ee= blue/green) ? Just a guess.

It seems that my lavender boys want to mate them. Great, now I have to go separate everything......:thun

My dad said ABSOLUTELY NO DUCKS!

I would love to get some in the future, maybe by next spring if he changes his mind....

Awww, bummer.

My hubby used to tell us the same thing, when my daughter kept saying she wanted a duckling. Then one day we were at TSC, just before our chicks arrived and they had ducklings. Hubby said he didnt care, so we got 3 of them. They have been so entertaining and easy to care for, that he doesnt even care if I get more.

Hope your dad changes his mind next spring!

Oh well, glad you sold them and she finally showed up. Maybe you have a new future customer. I will get one someday.

I sold my lone male Mallard to sjcummings this morning. She had a lonely female mallard that needed a friend.

Thats great! Sjcummings seemed really nice when I met her. All of us southern PA BYC'ers are starting a chickenstock this fall. Are you interested?

Hmmm, I guess it just depends on where it is and when.

Oh too cool!! Congrats!

I still have no clue who laid the mysterious shellless egg almost 2 weeks ago now. I found a huge intact yolk, with egg white surrounding it and membrane off to the side, on the floor of my coop. Like one of them had laid it from up on the rafters that evening. But not one since. It was a big egg too. Not small like my little bantam Cochins. But none of them has laid another one since. Its been like 10-12 days now. I don't get it! I have a 6 month old standard Cochin and a 5 month old Exchequer, figured it was from one of them.

We went to Lowes last night to get wood to start building a coop and run for my bantams. We are going to enlarge the ducks run also.
