Day old chicks wanted (Found) updated!

They are so cute!

I called Ideal today to see if I could add any chicks to my order and I couldn't

I was going to see if I could get some Gold laced and WC blue Polish and maybe a couple other colors of d'Uccles they are straight run, I'm afraid I won't end up with a hen.

She scared me at first, she was like, we have no chicks available. I was like, What? does that mean my order won't be shipped next week. She's like no, no, I just mean we don't have any extras for shipping on the 10th. *Big sigh of relief*

I am not sure what I am going to do when the new chicks get here next Friday. I don't think the chicks I have now are old enough to go without a light yet, and will be much bigger than the new chicks. Might have to rig up a second brooder lol.

I am in love with the black chick with gray eyebrows! So cute! I really like the first partridge pictured. It looks like my Peppi!

LoL I might need a second one! I had figured my first group would be big enough to move to the smaller pen/coop, but I'm not sure now!

The one with gray eyebrows has a taller head than the others too. So cute!

Can you tell Silkie sexes by size and feet? The first partridge one is smaller in size and its feet are smaller than the second one. But yet its not feathering as fast as the second one, so I dunno. I am hoping its a girl though!

No, you cant tell anything with silkies really. I look at them and guess what they are and see if I'm right when they are old enough. I say girl, boy, boy?, girl, boy in order of your pictures. I wonder how close I will be? lol

Oh, I judge sexes by their attitudes usually and I think the males have deeper peeps/chirps.

I am gonna guess that the two black ones that look alike, are one of each sex. You can't tell as well in the pic, but one of them has a bigger comb than the other. The other one either has a smaller comb or more head/face fuzz to cover it up. Which is probably the one you put a ? on.
