Day old chicks wanted (Found) updated!

If we leave now, we can still make it to the sale in time. I don't think we are going to go though because my mom said that I can't get any more chickens this year anyhow.

Well that stinks. Might not have found anything anyways. Less people will probably go due to the weather.

Well, we came home from shopping and peppi was soaked to the bone, so she is getting her feathers hairdryed and she is getting a pedicure!

We ran errands today too. It wasn't raining when we left, but by the time we got home, my run was flooding and all my chickens were drowned rats! Specially the doofy Silkies that like playing in the rain lol. I didn't blow dry them, but the kids all chased them into the coop, where they stayed til the rain stopped and they were dry. It would appear that my only smart chickens (they were the only dry ones) are my Standard Cochin, my 2 yr old Cochin and my Gold Hamburg. The rest are doofy and stayed in the rain lol.

Hey! I'm just east of Harrisburg and have a broody that is currently hatching out some chicks, 5 so far. They are a brown egg layer mixes (SLW roo and hens of SLW, SS, BR, BR and Welsummer). We will need to get rid of most, if not all of them. There were 10 viable eggs that were developing, so we shall see how many we get. Let me know!

Do you have a photo of the newly painted toe nails?
would love to see that~

Thanks for the eggs Hannah!

I put them under her as soon as we got home last night. The two golf balls under her were really warm. I took those out and just placed the eggs in a circle.

This morning she was still on them and had rearranged them closer to her chest area. A little off center from how I put them in there and none were broken. They were all nice and warm! Hope she holds out til they hatch!
