My incubator's been fluctuating in temp from 97 to 101, so I bought more quail eggs than I actually wanted to hatch, because I figured they wouldn't all make it. And they may not. But imagine my surprise, upon candling tonight, to discover that I have at least 16, and possibly all 18, live babies (too were too dark to be sure--one of those appeared to be clear and the other appeared to be alive--but again, too dark to be sure). I guess I'll be selling baby quail before long! I love quail hatches--how they all seem to pop out at the same time, and they're so FAST and also the most adorable creatures in the world. Just in time for Easter!
