day twenty question UPDATE pg2 PICS!!!

i have one egg in the hatcher. it's day twenty and hasn't done anything. how long could this take if it's not dead. it was alive when i put it in there. going crazy.

It could take until day 21 or day 22 before you see a pip. All you can do is wait and make sure that your temp and humidity are good.

okay i'm being patient. that is a blatant lie. i'm going to be good. it's my b-day egg so it has to hatch. i put it in on my b-day. i've about 7 welsummer/pendesenca(sp?) eggs moving to the hatcher tomorrow. and then some mutts on tuesday and then, for the grand finale of the week 4 turkey eggs go in on wednesday i believe. this is so scary. i hope it gets easier. oh and thanks for being here for me.

It really should be a little bit higher in the 65% range. I don't know what kind of incubator you have but...the idea is to increase the surface area that is wet. You can spread out a wet washcloth or paper towel and put the end in a container of water so it can wick the water. That will usually do the trick. I have a homemade bator and I just squirt some water directly into the bottom...there are 2 wire shelves for the eggs above it. This works great!
