Early duck?

This is what I woke up to this morning then I immediately put them in lock down does this look normal?
Can you tell if it is pipled through the membrane or just the shell? It looks a little dry actually.
If it hasn't pierced the membrane I would go ahead and tear that membrane open. Just where the pip is.
I wouldn't do anything else other than that for now.

Umm the external pip is on the pointy end not the air cell but then I pointed a light in the air cell and it looked to be a bill in their I have not clue what is going on something is pushing on the external pip but why does it look like a bill in their air cell?

I'm so sorry, I was at work so I just now read this.

I couldn't tell it was the wrong end from the photo!
Ok. So where the external pip is for sure where the bill is. The shadow your seeing in the air cell is probably a foot pushing against the membrane.
A lot of times they can hatch fine on their own from the wrong end. But I'd be prepared to assisist if necessary.
I'll brb with an article for you.. hold please 🙃

I'd widen that pip hole. That doesn't look too good to me.
Did you put coconut oil or Vaseline on that? It kinda looks like it.
Just an update another one externally pipped and the one that already did does not seem like it’s making progress but is still very lively in the egg
