That silvery one is probably a splash. I had a cochin born absolutely silver and is now a beautiful...but very pale...plash.

Yeah...I love to see them go back "home" and get back into their "house".

They will both probably feather in white. The silvery one should be a nice bright white. The one with the reddish tint has duckwing in it and will likely be more a red pyle color. Were the shells marked as to which ones hatched. I would guess an M1 and a W2. Did any more hatch?

Day 22- I have 6 silkies and 3 more pipped. I have 3 araucana- all rumpless, none appear to be tufted, I have 1 pip and nothing on the other 4. I am so hoping at least a couple more Araucana hatch

Jody, none were marked. The one that hatched LATE last night is a nice bright yellow, guessing white? Also the one that I thought was splash has a reddish spot on it's head, ideas?

so now all 9 silkie/sizzles hatched, my first 100% from shipped eggs

I still only have 3 Araucana, I candled real quick cuz the humidity was high anyway. 3 had died, and they were all dark feathered

. I still have 2 that are pipped and we are waiting on them

. I will get pics when the hatch is complete

edited to say that 1 that died had pipped the air cell and died, the other two I couldn't tell what was wrong, they never pipped

Another araucana hatched. It looks splash, more silver than the last one

. It looks like it has 1 tuft and not sure of the rump. I will definitely be posting pics tomorrow. Just waiting for that last one to hatch, taking FOREVER.
