This is my second hatch. My 13 yr old daughter was actually in charge of this one...her little project. I have checked on temps/humidity though several times throughout. I have 20 good eggs in there. I had to throw away about 15 of them

Anyways 5 of them pipped yesterday and still have made no progress. I can hear some faint noises from them in there. It looks very white whee they pipped at, could this be because it is too dry? My humidity is up to 69% with barely any water. Should I try to add more through the vent holes? I would think at 69%, it would've been ok but? My first hatch was a disaster and now I'm afraid this one is going to turn out the same way. What should I do?

Oh and also at day 19 my temps dropped fromm 99.5 to 97.8 from 1-8 hours (not sure, wasnt home). I got scared and turned it up and it went too 100.8. but I know it wasn't longer than 2 hours MAX. Could this cause a big delay?
And the first 18 days my humidity was between 38%-45% with a LG forced air

I am at the end of day 21 with them.

I don't know the answer to this but maybe experienced hatchers do... Good luck.

I am at day 22 and nothing! I also had a bad time from start with these eggs! Many broken and questioned how good they were. I figured i would just try~

Best of luck and some say wait till day 25 just incase!

I got some babies! They decided to all come at once. So far I got 7 and 2 more zipping. Still waiting for something to happen with the other 8-9. I am not a patient person. I also had my days screwed up. This is only day 21 for me not 22. My bad. They aren't late after all

A little late but yes egg membrane is white. When it's clear yellow that chick tends to hatch with issues (not always). If it's completely see through they tend to drown.

Temps below 102F will not harm the eggs. That's actually fairly normal for a still air. In a forced air they may hatch a day early if left that high but they won't die. They won't even die at 103 until left there for many hours. At only a couple hours the inside of the egg probably did not even reach the temperature listed on the thermometer. Same with low temps except they are safe for even lower than higher. They'll still incubate down to 96F but will be days late and more sensitive to problems so you will have more losses if you leave them at 96F the whole time. I've been using still airs for all my hatches so I'm used to having eggs in a wide range of temps. My still air can be as much as 6F different from center on top of the eggs to the edge at the mesh. I've also put them in tilted cartons in a still air which only increases the range. Eggs will handle quite a range of temps.
