Huh, I guess she did die. He leaned on the rock again, trying to balance. He took his weight off the rock for a second before tilting back onto it. I've seen a dog with three legs once, I can do this.

Lily sniffed the air. She could smell something. Another wolf. Inwardly, she groaned, quickening her pace

Lavender continued to search, but she didn’t see any signs of the pup. ‘ Cedar? Cedar?’ She called, sniffing around.

Lily glanced up, hearing something. Was it the cougar again? It was hard to smell with her nose buried in the pup's fur. She broke into a run

‘ Cedar? Where are you?’ Lavender barked, slowing down. She didn’t know how close the pup was, but she did know he was probably in trouble.

Cedar opened his mouth and let out a tiny, adorable howl. Lily's heart melted. She hadn't heard Lavender, so she didn't know why he did it, but it was extremely cute.
