Cedar was dreaming that he was dying. Then he was dead. And that big, mean something-or-another was eating him. Suddenly, the thing that was eating him stopped and said, "Cedar, wake up. Come on, just wake up!" This confused the pup. Maybe you shouldn't eat me if you want me to wake up, he thought to himself.

Lavender, very desperate, slapped Cedar across the face with her paw.

The big meany then took a bite out of his face. "Hey! If you want me to wake up, stop eating me!" Cedar exclaimed, his eyes opening a little.
