Storm watched her leave and put his head on his paws. She really is the weirdest wolf I've met. His ribs still ached, and his leg throbbed, but he didn't want to cause attention.

Lily finally woke up. I guess I should go see if Storm is back yet, she thought, standing up. (Poor Storm is never going to get his nap...)

Lily sniffed the air. "Storm? Where are you?" She called. "Are you back yet? Or did you die?"
