Lily's stood there silently, staring at him like he was a ghost.
Storm held his breath, staring right back into her eyes.
Lily didn't know what to say. Did she love him? Of course, I do. Lily thought. But what do I say? Finally, she said, "I love you too, Storm."
(Yep. @Ihavesomechickens, you were right!)
Lily was about to say something when Momo came bouncing in. (I'm convinced her goal in life is to annoy everyone). "Hi, everyone!" She said. "How are you all?"
"Great." Storm breathed.
Lily turned to Momo. "Hello, Momo. I just saw a rabbit up in that hill. I bet you're not fast enough to catch it." She grinned.
Momo growled. "You bet I can catch it! I'll show you!" So saying, she turned and raced off to find Lily's imaginary bunny.
"That was great." Storm said, smiling after Momo.
Lily laughed. "I have my ways." She looked at the ground. "So...would you be willing to be my mate?" Her voice was for once full of uncertainty
