I found him on the basement floor no nest around anywhere.I thought it was dead.I brought him upstairs to look at him and he fell in the sink full of h20 but I snatched him out. Then layed in a box in the sun.He has lasted all day so I decided to try and feed him.I put a drop of poly vi sol in some milk in a little syringe and force fed him a bit.He perked up some, then sat and cleaned his little face and snuggled in my hand.He has all his fur but his eyes aren't open.

It takes a kind person to even try, but its hard to handraise mice.

kitten formula (KMR is recommended) is the best thing to feed it. Human milk can cause more harm then good. You will have to stimulate the baby to go potty. It will need to be fed every couple of hours.

Good luck

I bred and raised Siamese show mice for eons and it is TOUGH to handraise baby mice. A q-tip wet in warm water will stimulate him to potty.
If he is sitting up and able to clean himself he might be able to lap milk from a tiny dish of some sort or even a spoon held out to him. Tube or force feeding is risky because you can easily aspirate the baby (get liquid into the lungs).
Get yourself some KMR.

Good luck!

would dry milk be better right now until I can get something more suitable? How long before they open their eyes and are weaned? He certainly can move about, his little feet and tail are like a monkey's he clings on to my hand.I have had him in my pocket most of the day.

powederd would be better then strait cow , goat would work just fine and kitten or puppy is good to , when I hand raised a baby rat I acutally used soy baby formula and when they could sit up you can make runny baby ceral / formula for them to lick up off a finger or q tip or something good luck .

What I did when I had a baby mouse, I put him in my hand and dripped the milk into the creases of my hand, he was able to suck it up and he thrived! I tried a dropper, but couldn't get it to come out in small enough amounts, it'd end up going up his nose.

Mine was always kind of wild and by the time he opened his eyes I couldn't hold him anymore, he'd leap out of my hand, he was already eating mouse food and didn't seem to need me anymore, I had him as long as he lived, his name was Barney.

Human milk was suppose to be cow milk
soy baby formula works good for rats, but it doesnt have the nutients a mouse needs, the milk that meets their needs best is kitten formula.

thanks everybody we will see if he makes it.I have a heat lamp on him now I found a site that explained how to take care of them.I made a sugar h20,solution with some of the vits.and gave him a bit of that.I did rub him with a qtip dipped in warm h20 not sure if he went or not.The site did recommend the soy baby formula too.
