De Christmasing

I have a screened in front porch where my tree has lived since last Christmas.

I usually take it down about the 5th of Jan.

We just put ours up last weekend. When I was a kid we wouldn't put the tree up untill Christmas Eve. Ours will come down New Years day though.

Most of Kodiak celebrates Russian Orthodox Christmas as well, which isn't until January 7th, so ours will stay up until then. I work for the Native corporation, most natives are Russian Orthodox, and am not native but I enjoy sharing their traditions.

Besides, after the coop being blow over today I just don't have the energy!
