I understand that. There are still studies that show it works, and studies that show it doesn't, which is the reason there's controversy around it. There are also personal accounts that explain it both working and not working, again reasons for the controversy surrounding the use of DE as a dewormer.

You're on the fence. If you wish to use DE, by all means use it for whatever purpose you see fit. You'll learn in time.

I'm personally not on the fence. I'm simply stating that there are studies that show it effective and studies that show it ineffective.

That still didn't say what exact factors caused it to be effective in some and not in others. For example, different diatoms, different particle size, differences in the gastrointestinal tract in varying species, etc.

I'm curious as to why sometimes it is succesful and others it is not. There must be a reason for that. If it 100% did or didn't, that's one thing....but it isn't.

And if you wonder, I do not use it. But I do know both people who have successfully used it, and people who have used it and had it not work. I'm interested in why that is.
