DE in drinking water???

It has become a messy pain to mix my food grade diatomaceous earth with my chicken's 50 lb bag of food since that stuff is so "dusty".

I was thinking it would be easier to mix it with their drinking water instead. Has anyone done this?? Is this a bad idea?

I've never done it, but I don't know what it would hurt to try. Would'nt it just settle to the bottom?
