DE in young chicks water

Does anyone or has anyone mixed DE in their young chicks water? I have a chick that's not absorbing her nutrition so I was wondering if this was a treatment option.
Any help would be appreciated!!!

I wouldn't add DE. How do you know it's not absorbing it's nutrition? Does it have diarrhea? Try fresh, medicated chick starter if that's the case.

she's 5 days old and she has diarrhea I am still cleaning her bottom in the morning because her stools aren't thick like her sisters, and she is not growing like her sisters - the runt is now bigger than she is....
I started giving her poly-vy-sol today and mixed some yogurt in her feed. The feed stores aren't open today and I was just trying to do every thing I can today.

Sulmet is good for stress...which is usually a cause for pasty butt...

These are my first chicks and I feel very responsible
