DE lifespan

Hi guys, fairly new to DE
Have put DE in my chickens dustbath and coop
How long does it stay "effective" if it doesnt get wet?
Does it have a lifespan?
How often would you "top up" or replace it?

DE is basically fossilised Earth ground from the Coruscation Diatom

it has no life span

obviously don't get it wet other wise it can stay indefinitely

when you cant see it visually then redust with it

DE is the teeny tiny skeletons of diatoms. It won't go bad, and it won't dissolve.
