ACV is used in the water for helping the gut flora in the chicken and using the calcium taken in and Vit D they get

nor does pumpkin seed
garlic is not a wormer it is used for keeping chickens from getting a cold


with that said what you can use as herbal worming is cayenne pepper

3 tbsp of cayenne pepper to a gallon of crumbles feed
feed that as only feed for life and never have to use chemical wormer
and you can eat the eggs

you can feed it at any time
it will not kill them
I fed it for yrs and it was great

that new herbal wormer from england that is mentioned the main ingredient is cayenne pepper

ok..so no to the garlic? I thought that Poultry Magazine said it was used as a dewormer.
So the ceyenne pepper..you just add it every gallon of food? or do you do this every couple of months?

We use cayenne pepper and it works great. We have also used garlic in the past with no effect on egg taste from either one.

Okay I am sorry I said colds it is respiratory disease to use garlic

and if you believe garlic is for worming go for it

as for cayenne pepper I do know it works

I was just going on the accounts of a friend of mine who did the studies of using garlic and pumpkin seed for worming
the chickens did not get any less worms when the test was done

to each his own on what to use
