Dead chicken purple comb

All the news about avian flu, is it's a fast killer. The bird wouldn't hang on or have it developing with obvious visible signs (purple comb) for a matter of weeks, maybe hours though.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I would definitely send her in for a necropsy, especially with the symptoms and the bird flu.

(My riding instructors friend's chickens got the flu, and one of them was strutting around then just dropped down dead, so it can happen suddenly)
