Dead chicken

I have had five baby chicks growing and getting bigger for about four months now. They have been locked up securely but I woke up this morning and one was dead so I’m putting a picture here to see if anybody can tell me what predator hurt my chicken thank you ahead of time

Could be anything really, how secure is you coop is there any places something may get in?

They have been in a dog cage with tight netting over that there were no openings anywhere… Can only think something crawled in from underneath which is on the ground.

Can you post pics of where it happened and the coop/run? A lot of predators can fit through surprisingly small places.

Yes my friends who have lost Chickens recently think that it is a snake…

Was the chicken outside of the cage? Snakes usually ingest their prey at the attack site. If you found it out of the cage you would likely have a hole somewhere big enough to fit the chicken, inside a snake.

Cannot be a fox or a dog… Cage not disturbed chicken inside cage laying there dead everybody else OK

No chicken inside - only thing I can see getting in underneath is a snake and would have to flatten it self to get in and lift cage that has five chickens in it
