Dead deer near my coop

About three to four weeks ago a deer died in woods near my chicken coop. It is pretty flatten out and has been picked over by the vultures. I have not let the chickens out, for fear that they will pick at it. Is it safe to let them out? Am I being overly cautious?

I wouldn't be surprised if you poked it with a stick that it's just skin and Fur left on it. I wouldn't worry too much.
