    Hey Y'all from Western Montana,
Love the site. Raising a few ducklings & chickens together. Last night dogs were going nuts all night & i just thought they were barking at the bear or turkey's frequently in yard, but it turns out SOMETHING was in the pen area tearing the leg off our duckling! The only hole into coop is an old mouse hole, & i caught him a couple weeks ago. Ermine? Rat? Any helpful feedback welcome.
    Thanks,
    Rick

My guess would be something in the weasel family, they can get into some small holes, though they tend to go for the head, neck or crop. Another option would be a coin grabbed it near the fence and chewed off the leg from outside the fence.
